Frac Sand Demand Discussion on The West Side March 19
Western Wisconsin’s boom in the frac sand mining industry will be the topic of discussion on The West Side Monday, March 19 at 10 a.m. on 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls.
Host Rich Kremer and his guests will discuss the economic and environmental impacts of the industry. Frac sand is used in the hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking,” process to remove petroleum fluids such as oil from rock units.
The West Side is a call-in program focused on issues specific to western Wisconsin. The show airs on Mondays at 10 a.m. on 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls, with a live stream at www.wrfw887.com.
