UW-EC Sexual Assault Awareness Discussed on The West Side March 5

Sexual assault and harassment reporting at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will be the focus of The West Side Monday, March 5 at 10 a.m. on 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls.

Host Rich Kremer will be joined be Taylor Limberg, co-founder and co-director of the newly formed Student Advocates for Sexual Assault Survivors at UW-Eau Claire, and Teresa O’HalloranHallor, UW-Eau Claire affirmative action director and Title IX coordinator.

O’Halloran will discuss how she and the university work to investigate reported sexual misconduct. Title IX states that “no person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”
