Taking the Pulse of the Regional Economy to be Featured on The West Side September 1
A rebroadcast of the June 23 show focusing on the economic outlook of the region will be on The West Side from Wisconsin Public Radio’s Ideas Network Monday, September 1 at 10 a.m. on 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls.
Host Rich Kremer welcomed Scott Hodek, a west central regional economist for the Department of Workforce Development and Brian Doudna, executive director for Eau Claire Area Economic Development Corporation.
Kremer and guests took a look at the recent economy in western Wisconsin. Some of the topics discussed were the shrinking labor market and the release of a survey on regional skills gap.
The West Side will be back with a live show on Monday, September 8 with another election forum between Darrel Laumann, Democrat-New Richmond; Dean Knudson, Republican-Hudson; and Laurie Kroeger, Libertarian-Hudson.
