Agriculture Update to be Featured on The West Side June 16
The current status of agriculture in western Wisconsin will be the topic on The West Side from Wisconsin Public Radio’s Ideas Network Monday, June 16 at 10 a.m. on 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls.
Host Rich Kremer will welcome Tom Ferguson, Co-owner of Ferguson’s Orchards in Eau Claire, Galesville and Lake City, Minnesota; Greg Andrews, University of Wisconsin-Extension Agriculture Agent of Peirce County; and Andy Bensend, state director representing the 1st District and farmer from AB farms.
Kremer and guests will discuss what is happening in regional agriculture. Guests will also talk about the late planting due to the long winter, the current crop levels and the rising costs of farming supplies.
The West Side is a call-in program focused on issues specific to western Wisconsin. The show airs on Mondays at 10 a.m. on 88.3 WHWC-FM/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW-FM/ River Falls. Listeners may call in with questions and comments during the program at 1-800-228-5615.
