2013 State Budget Proposal to be Discussed on The West Side

The West Side will discuss Governor Scott Walker’s 2013 Budget Proposal and its possible impacts on western Wisconsin residents on Thursday, February 21 at 5 p.m. on 88.3 WHWC/ Menomonie-Eau Claire.

Host Rich Kremer will be joined by State Representatives Scott Suder (R-Abbotsford) and Chris Danou (D-Trempealeau). The two local legislators will offer their perspectives on Walker’s budget initiatives and how they will affect residents in their districts. The Budget Address will be delivered to the state Legislature the night before, Feb. 20.

Expected topics include the proposed $100 million workforce development initiative, food stamp reform and $6.4 billion investment in transportation infrastructure.

The West Side is a call-in program focused on issues specific to western Wisconsin.  The show airs on Thursdays at 5 p.m. on 88.3 WHWC/ Menomonie-Eau Claire. Listeners may call in with questions and comments during the program at 1-800-228-5615.
