Comedian Jeff Cesario to be featured on Spectrum West

 

Comedian Jeff Cesario will preview his performance in Eau Claire on Spectrum West this Friday, December 14 at 5 p.m. on 88.3 WHWC/ Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW/River Falls. The show will also look ahead at The Master Singers’ Christmas concert, the newest mystery novel by Mary Logue, and the recently published The Wisconsin Passage.

Jeff Cesario is a native of Kenosha, Wisconsin and graduated from UW-Madison. Cesario started his comedic career in Minneapolis before ending up in Los Angeles where he has co-produced shows such as Brand X and The Marriage Ref. Host Al Ross will talk with Cesario about his career and his performance at Pizza Plus in downtown Eau Claire Friday, December 14.

Special Correspondent Jim Oliver will talk with mystery writer Mary Logue, who uses the pen name Mary Lou Kirwin, about her latest mystery Killer Librarian. Logue has written poetry and young adult novels, but is best known for her Claire Watkins murder mystery series set in Pepin County.

Gary Schwartzhoff, director of The Master Singers, will talk with Ross about this year’s Christmas concert, “Lessons and Carols: The Shepherds Sing.” The Master Singers will be performing at the First Congregational Church in Eau Claire on Friday, December 14 and the St. Charles Borromeo Church in Chippewa Falls on Saturday, December 15.

Harriet Rice acted as media coordinator of The Wisconsin Passage: An Adventure in the Handmade, Homegrown, and Historical Offerings of Wisconsin from the Mississippi River to Lake Superior. Rice joins Ross to talk about the project and its development.

Spectrum West is a weekly program exploring the music, arts, and humanities in Western Wisconsin.  The show includes in-depth behind-the-scenes interviews and stories about area writers, musicians, theater, visual arts, and much more.  It is heard weekly on Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. on Ideas 88.3 WHWC/Menomonie-Eau Claire and 88.7 WRFW/River Falls.
